Pretty far from where I am, but service and food was good. Only complaint is that they forgot one of my sides, I was really looking forward to that mac and cheese! Just make sure to check your order before you leave, I was home and twenty minutes away, so I did not want to turn back. They have a pretty extensive menu, all looked really good! I happened to be here in Lafayette for work. I feel blessed to have found this place and got to meet the owners. We had delightful conversion while I waited for my order. I had a feeling I would like this place and since I live in Baton Rouge, I went ahead and ordered three days worth of dinner. I got fried chicken and French fries. Some of the best ever. The chicken was so fresh and flavorful and the crispiness was just right and not even greasy. The fries were also some of my favorites. My second dish that I ate the next day was ox tales on rice and gravy with a side of collard greens and green beans. The third day dish was a giant pork steak on a heap of rice dressing with a side of Mac and cheese and smothered cabbage. These were all astonishingly good. The Pecan pie was on a level of its own. This is the kind of food you wish your wife would make you on the regular. This place is plenty good enough excuse to make the hour plus drive.

8/4/24 Went to Lumberjack’s Soul Food of Louisiana today & got me some of those all famous ribs that comes with directions & instructions. OMG they were so tender they were literally falling off the bone, & the flavor was phenomenal. Damn I bit my finger cause they were finger licking good. I added me some Pasta Roni & a green salad & Bona Petit. 9/8/23 Always a great experience at Lumberjack’s Soulfood Louisiana. My sister came in town & she went & purchased food for us. She got 2 plates. Stuffed Turkey Wings with rice & gravy & fried catfish with shrimp & onion rings, I had fried garfish with cheesy seafood pasta, baked beans & corn makshu, my daughter had stuffed baked chicken with string beans & baked beans & we are 3 HAPPY CUSTOMERS. OMG I NEARLY HURT MYSELF. The motto is true. GREAT FOOD AND EXCELLENT SERVICE. Check it out for yourself, you’ll be glad you did. 9/1/23 Another great experience at Lumberjack’s Soulfood Louisiana. Today is Seafood Friday & I decided I wanted some fish. Ordered a catfish platter with onion rings & it was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed it to the utmost. Thanks you guys for another great experience. I had Creole fried chicken with a double portion of White Beans with sausage. OMG it was soooooo damn good. My daughter had Smothered Oxtails with Smothered Cabbage & Green Beans & Fried Chicken. We enjoyed it immensely. If you haven’t been there yet, well you just might wanna take a trip down to their new location at 4310 Moss Street right across from Dollar General & Family Dollar. You’ll be glad you did.

Due to COVID no inside service drive thru or patio dining. The food is amazing and very tasty. First time here well seasoned nice lady’s prepared when you ordered. Got there 15 min before close and served fresh and hot fish oxtail Mac and cheese and green beans and fries . First time here and will definitely be back when in town.good price for a lot of food well worth it.

Food was amazing! We had good service The Man In Charge felt like a long lost uncle he was kind and hilarious. It was one of the best soul food restaurants I have been to! We enjoyed the music and the Cozy setting we will definitely be back
